VerdeGO Living, a leading proponent of sustainable housebuilding in the south, south-east, and south-west of England, has just completed a groundbreaking three-month trial featuring Kight’s cutting-edge off-grid lighting system.

The trial featured Kight’s Mobile Site Light, used in temporary applications such as construction. It provided a demonstration of the technology behind Kight’s permanent street lighting solution and power generation products.

VerdeGO Living is renowned for its commitment to delivering low-energy, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly homes. With a dedication to staying at the forefront of sustainable housebuilding, the company is always exploring and implementing new products and systems.

The trial has been closely monitored, with data regularly sent to David Craddock, the founder of VerdeGO Living. This data showcases the performance of Kight’s off-grid lighting solution, which was stationed at VerdeGO’s show site. This unique location, embedded within VerdeGO’s timber frame house manufacturing business, serves as a showcase for Housing Associations and property developers interested in the latest sustainable development technologies in the UK.

David Craddock, the visionary behind VerdeGO, expressed his enthusiasm for the trial, stating, “Having a trial has been a great way to see how the product looks and works and how it performs. The concept of simultaneous dual-energy wind and solar input is simple but brilliant. I love the idea of wind energy continuing to top up the battery at night while powering the lights. It coincides with my ethos of sustainable, low-energy, low-carbon development and helps take this ethos through to every element of the housebuilding process, encompassing the entire site.”

Kight’s off-grid lights boast British standard lighting columns and lanterns, powered by both wind and solar energy. The luminosity and spread of light adhere to street lighting standards, ensuring functionality and safety.

Lawrence Fagg, the founder of Kight, commended David Craddock’s passion for sustainable development and pioneering technology. He emphasized that Kight’s products are at the forefront of innovation, aligning seamlessly with VerdeGO’s commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable future.

The collaboration between VerdeGO Living and Kight stands as a beacon of progress in the realm of off-grid lighting, showcasing the potential for environmentally conscious solutions in the construction and housing industry.
